Attempting to channel my inner Asian Edie with the combination of super round sunnies and my Chun Li fun buns. And we're back to the blue brick wall! Doesn't it look cuter with the accents of baby doll pink from my outfit though?! I'm obsessed with this Maurie & Eve top. Yes, I know that collars with details (metal tips, embellished, what have you) are all the rage right now but the thing that sold me was the HUGE back slit detail and the heavy duty built in cuff links. They are seriously so bolted down when you snap them in that I'm terrified of opening them from fear of ripping that lush silk. That's where secondary hands come in.

So we all have talented friends right? I mean they're all talented in some regard or another whether they be skilled at making you laugh or if they've got a black belt in shopping or if they're an awesome designer that can make sweet optical illusion pants or... this list could go on forever. Back to my levitating-like pants. Yeah, my beautiful friend Sandra designed them and here I am traipsing around Stevy's backyard trying (and failing) to give justice to them and their off-body effect with my subpar modelling skills. Maybe my talent is looking awkward in photos. Yeah I wouldn't disagree with that title. Although I'd prefer to be dubbed the Harry Potter fanatic(!!).
(See appropriately fitting post title for further proof)

Swish, swish goes my darling mermaid skirt on the streets of West LA! I just love how acidic the pink is; so annoyingly bright that it goes around full circle to being okay again. (My way of saying it's so bad it's good. Did that translate well? Hmm) Skirts like this are excellent for the indecisive when we can't decide which hemline length we want. The mini? The maxi? Heck I love it when you can have both. It's like the equivalent of being able to have both chocolate AND vanilla ice cream for dessert! You can only imagine my joy when I'm given a tub of Neapolitan. Although I really don't care for strawberry ice cream. Alas, you get my point. I hope.

Tuesdays nights are Darlington nights baby! Semi Precious hosts a nice little intimate soirée at Perch lounge (Downtown LA) every week and I was lucky enough to accompany Stevy to one. What is it about rooftops that make them so magical?! I mean, I get it; nice AWESOME view, glass on glass railings, heat lamps - god I love heat lamps. So what to wear to such an equally magical event? Well, something to combat that nighttime breeze along with some cute Aussie shorts of course! I know this blouse looks like it belongs in Liberace's Museum and to be honest, I really don't have a problem with that. Flipping my frilly cuffs here and there so as to avoid dipping them into my drink was a taxing act that I secretly enjoyed. Wearing such a gaudy blouse, I said to myself that these footballer jock shorts would kick all signs of aristocracy out of the outfit. I've essentially got shoelaces embedded in my shorts - love it.
Special belated BIG thanks to Brittany from Friend of Mine!

[ MMM x H&M candybar clutch, Zara heels, F21 sunnies ]

I've never lined up for previous H&M collections before but when I decided to this year, I never would've thought I'd meet such awesome people in the process. Seriously, the kindness of strangers can be so amazing. Okay enough sappy talk, onto the Margiela! The eponymous designer did his collaboration with H&M a little different than others by redesigning or re-editing his previous designs and making them more palatable to the everyday audience. Although, his flair for deconstructionism and the avant garde is still clearly seen throughout. I fell in love with the candybar clutch immediately and the fact that in his original display Margiela used it as a belt accessory (Exhibit A), I'm very tempted to apply this to mine as well. I bought another piece from the collection for Stevy but it shall remain a mystery for now.
Much like Margiela himself.

Thanks & big love to Morgan, Nicole, Michael, Cecilia, & Chloe! See you at the next collab!

On our way to watch the new Paul Thomas Anderson film, The Master, and Stevy insisted to take advantage of this blue brick wall for some photographs. We wanted to catch an early viewing of the movie, which explains why I'm drinking my morning cup of tea out of a palm tree sippy cup. I'm an insistent bitch when it comes to that first cup. (English Breakfast, steeped 5 mins, dash of milk) So here I am wearing my candy striped mint tank and Barbie pink sunnies; cute accents of pastels that I juxtaposed with my tough, oversized Madonna jacket & shredded shorts. Oh, after the movie we had apple pie and discussed the transitions of Joaquin Phoenix. Odd fellow.
